The 2016 Sip *Savor *Stroll fun- draiser event is August 13 beginning
at 5:30pm, rain or shine. This year’s event will take place at homes on North Kalamazoo Avenue.
The committee has been meeting since March and after the success of last year’s event, “it was not difficult to see that we needed to do it again,” said chair Cathy Galloway. “Most of our committee members returned, and we have added some new people this year. That’s a good sign that the enthusiasm continues.”
“We are grateful to the three home- owners who so generously offer their hospitality to us,” said Patty Williams, Executive Director of the Franke Center for the Arts. “All three homeowners have been strong supporters of the Franke Center.”
The event will step off at the French themed home of Ann Acker. Light fin- ger foods with a French flair along with French wine and beer will be served. Other beverages will also be available. From the Acker home, guests will walk to the home of Carl and Sarah Loomis
who will boast an Italian theme. More substantial themed food will be offered here along with Italian wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. The evening will conclude at the Argentinian themed home of Matt and Becky Samra, where dessert fare and wine, beer and non- alcoholic beverages will finish the eve- ning.
A raffle will take place at 9pm and the evening will conclude at 9:30pm.
Event tickets go on sale June 1 and only 80 tickets will be sold at $55 each. Guests will receive one raffle ticket with the purchase of their event ticket. Additional raffle tickets will be avail- able for purchase that evening at the Samra home.
“This event has an emphasis on mer- riment, and we know guests will not
be disappointed,” said Galloway. “Last year, tickets sold out very fast!”
Don’t miss your opportunity to purchase a ticket by calling the Franke Center at (269) 781-0001, or find out more information regarding the event online at Frankecenterforthearts.org.
