Elverta was born in Albion on March 30, 1918. She raised her fam- ily in Albion as well, including two children Tanya Arnet and Richard Weatherford. But it doesn’t stop there. She has six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

extremely involved in missionary work. She enjoys cooking and play- ing the piano along with traveling. She and her husband traveled many places including Canada in their motorhome. While in Canada they were so impressed by all the towns that had floral arrangements displayed throughout that they took this concept back to Albion and started Citizens to Beautify Albion. This is still in prac- tice to this day.
Happy 100th Birthday Elverta!
