 BE STILL
• The median age of the deceased in most countries is over 80 years and only about one percent of the deceased had no serious preconditions. So the age and risk profile of deaths thus far essentially corresponds with normal mortality of people. The truth is that we all will die someday of something.
Jesus would tell us, “Don’t be afraid.” He said it countless times to his disciples and others, when they were overcome with fear. And angels were constantly saying this to people who were immobilized and awe-struck in the presence of celestial interventions.
• Up to 50% of all additional deaths may have been caused not by COVID-19, but by the effects of the lockdown, panic, and fear. For example, the treatment of heart attacks and strokes decreased by up to 60% in hospitals, because may patients no longer dared to go to the hospital.
I don’t know what your fear is, but Jesus reminds us today to, “... not be afraid.”

It certainly is possible as a senior citizen that you may be afraid that you’re going to get sick and imme- diately die if you contract the COVID-19 virus. All the evidence is contrary to that. Check this out:
In my mind, there is way too much anxiety and fear about this “pandemic” when you begin to look at the real facts that are emerging. However:

• Use hand sanitizer if you’re unable to wash your hands.
 • Up to 80% of all test-positive persons remain symptom-free. Even among 70-79 year-olds, about 60% remain symptom-free. Over 95% of all persons show mild symptoms at most.
But most importantly, “Don’t be afraid.” The Apostle John’s first little letter to the church reminds us that “God is love... there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out all fear.”
