   Volunteers Connect
By: Tracy Monroe, Director of Volunteer Services
Calhoun County Medical Care Facility (CCMCF) has really enhanced their virtual volunteer program. They are creating new ways of connecting with the community and volunteers. Residents love to see a familiar face and our volunteers have been able to help make that happen. We continue to partner with local colleges so that the students can get their service learning hours. And as part of the technology revolution, volunteers have been instru- mental in coordinating and scheduling virtual calls with friends and family as
well as virtual calls between residents. Residents have also enjoyed special
window visitors Carol and Annie the therapy dog. Victory Life Church youth helped to spruce up the courtyard. We have also received many gifts of sup- port from across the community rang- ing from PPE’s and flowers to snack baskets and lunches.
Thank you to the community for your support. Thank you to our vol- unteers who have helped to make this challenging time just a bit better. For more details visit our Facebook page.
