• Branch County Commission on Aging is the new vendor for home deliv- ered and congregate meals effective October 1, 2022.
• Medical Transportation and Chore Services are available through the Commission on Aging. Currently accepting requests for Fall Clean-Up. Call (517) 279-6565.
• Burnside Senior Center will have a program honoring Veterans on Wednesday, November 9, 10am.
• The Kinship Group is available for families where grandparents are raising grandchildren or other family members are raising related children.
• The MMAP office is hosting a “Welcome to Medicare” event especially for those new to Medicare or others with questions. Open enrollment starts October 15 and runs through December 7. MMAP counselors are available by appointment. Call (517) 279-6565.

Wellness Action Team

• Forks Senior Center is adding a “Move Well” exercise class on Tuesday morning. There are exercise classes each day of the week. See page 16.
• Oaklawn “Life After Loss” support group runs through November 9 from 1:30-3pm on Wednesdays.
• “Companion Pet” provides a non-living companion to people who are unable to care for a real pet. To apply for a grant, call CareWell Services at (269) 966-2450.
• Calhoun County Public Health Dept. (CCPHD) Albion office has moved to 115 Marketplace. Vaccination walk-in hours are Thursdays 7-11am and 1-4pm.
• CCPHD will hold a flu clinic at the Albion Office on October 7 and in Tekonsha October 8.
• Summit Pointe announced that “988” is the national emergency suicide number. The number won’t necessarily connect to local resources, but will provide assistance immediately.
• Survivors of suicide loss support group is held the 3rd Wednesday of each month 6-7:30pm at Willard Library.
