as well as the slowing the progression... because movement matters. This year was no exception. Participants chose to walk either the half- or full-mile route. Some walked for loved ones; others for themselves.
you for all you do.
We would not function without the efforts
Many of our Community Stroll partici- pants also chose to make a new commitment toward movement by joining the Miles for Memories Marathon and Scavenger Hunt, which runs through Thanksgiving. And so can you. Participants commit to completing 26 miles throughout the duration. For added fun there will be a daily scavenger hunt item posted in the Facebook story. Join in any day before the event ends on November 23 for just $26. Do this one for you! of Connie Skidmore. She is instrumental in making sure everything is documented. She makes certain that all who contribute to the organization are thanked for their contri- butions, makes certain all the deposits are made, invoices are paid, letters are sent, and, she is my rock.
There’s not one of us that joined the Miles for Memories Leadership team for personal recognition, but rather to help those seeking solutions. We are all volunteers and are pas- sionate about what we do. Most of us have had dementia impact a family member and we know what kind of help we needed along the way. Having said that, I want you to know that their volunteer efforts make Miles for Memories work and today I am taking this moment to say thank you to each of
Next up we have those that have been here since the beginning; those that knew we needed to provide solutions where we could. Together, we changed the focus
of the conversation to programs and ser- vices that were and are needed by fami-

to Anne Clark, Michelle Lennon, Sharon Zapata, Steve Frisbie, Glin Windsor, Karin Gallagher, and Terri Chapman. Just as important, but newer to the team are Stacy Wines, Helen Guzzo, Christi Losinski, Cassandra Lucas-Moore, Lora Stevens, Caleb Angus, Pete Zapata, David Gallagher, Steve Lamb, Elizabeth Raleigh, Tina Rasey, Kara Beer, Denise Jones, Pat Fosdick, Keith Sherban, David Gilbert, and Sheriff Hinkley.
The organization continues to be shaped by the leadership team as well as through committees developing lifestyle programs, running pilot programs, creating safe return programs, offering educational programs, and of course fundraising events of all kinds like Boards'n Bags on October 15. We are always open to new suggestions and con- cerns that need to be met.
There are so many more that also volun-
Thank you’s are never enough for all the hard work but valuable all the same. What makes an even better impression is seeing the joy on the face of family members. That provides all the encouragement that could ever be needed for me. So to each of you... thank you for all you do!
