ditions, but also healthy living. Put simply, living well. The foods we eat, or choose to avoid, can help us to age well, to feel greater energy, and give us a reason to get up
and going each day. Medications can also be impacted by the food we eat. Clearly then, food is so much more than just nutrition.
Now is the perfect time to take a sneak peak at Medicare and what it covers. It's also a good time to start looking at your coverage and
consider if the plan you are in is best for you in the new year. Not only do plans change each year but it is likely that your health has as well. Open enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7. If you need assistance, it is a just a phone call away. Reach out to your Area Agency on Aging, Commission on Aging, or area Senior Millage program to schedule an appointment with a Benefits Counselor today or call 1-800-803-7174. If you're more adventurous visit medicare.gov to get started online or call them directly at 1-800-MEDICARE.
Another exciting part of this issue is that the activity pages are filling up again. Turn to pages 16-17 to find something just for you.
We are excited to visit all the craft shows, health fairs, harvest festivals, and senior centers. We hope to see you out and about in October.
